Material Coordinator is responsible for all operation spare parts, consumables, installation hardware and other materials that are required to operate and maintain the power generating plants covered under the Contract. The Material Coordinator is responsible to maintain a frequent inventory of parts and equipment on site and to ensure that rejected and non-confirming parts are properly identified and separated.

Material Co-ordinator are responsible for raising the Material request and getting approval from the client support team and follow up till the spares are reached at site.

Material Co-ordinator are responsible to send the balance capital spares, installation hardware and consumables to the Warehouse and inform the HO for ordering the remaining consumables.

Material Co-ordinator in liaise with Senior Engineer/Supervisor/Lead Engineer for spares in advance before the shut down of the unit for inspections.

Participate in the day-to-day team meetings with the client/ shutdown meeting and regularly update the material update.

Directly interfaces with client Contract Representative/Stores Personnel

Liaise with client site Area Material controller and shall carry out a pre-maintenance survey to establish the required resources, materials, spare parts, consumables etc. Make a tracking sheet with material status to resolve all integrity issues during outage and this to be briefed to team 2 weeks before commencement of outage.

Make all entries of store receivable items into the Stores Inventory System (SAP)

Take frequent inventory of parts, consumables, and equipment on monthly basis post maintenance activity. Generate monthly site inventory reports to Head office.

Assist in preparation of spare parts and consumables as per requirements of outage and ensure material availability ahead of the scheduled outages. Ensure inspection of capital parts received on site ahead of outages and highlight any discrepancy in advance.

Responsible for in-field logistics and transportation of Materials and Equipment

Comply with all plant policies and audit statutory requirements.

Responsible for maintaining documentation of items received and taken out of inventory along with capital spares installed in Turbines including their running hours and repair cycles.

Maintain status of all material request raised from site team and follow up with client /company to updates the delivery status of spares required for attending integrity issues on site.

Other activities as assigned by the Senior Procurement Engineer and Contract Manager

Promote and maintain the professional image of company in all site jobs.

Any other appropriate task as assigned by the Lead Engineer, Contract Co-ordinator.
