Roles & Responsibilities

Job Overview:

A leading FMCG Company in UAE is looking for a Marketing Manager to:

· Develop and lead the local consumer as well as trade marketing function in UAE.

· Put a winning marketing team in place, introduce KPIs and manage three direct reports closely.

· Accelerate growth, play an active role in our mission to triple the business within the next five years.

· Work closely with regional marketing to identify and optimize winning strategies and marketing plans for the Company.

· Manage the local A&P budget thoroughly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing & Media Strategy in UAE

· Research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies.

· Develop strategic plans for all brands including market & product analysis, budget proposals and marketing/customer plans.

· Lead and implement relevant 360 action plans to accelerate the development of the business.

· Build the right media strategy to reach our audience and to drive sales (offline incl PR and events / online incl website traffic, engagement, keywords…). Evaluate and identify consumer journey and media touch points.

· Influence, convince and align regional marketing team to support local strategy plans and activities.

Brand Positioning

· Ensure share maximizing, successful local Brand Positioning, following regional guidance.

· Capture consumer and market insights (economy, demographics, psychology) and translate them into successful and actionable concepts/stories.

· Develop successful concept-based consumer communication across all media channels and touch points.

· Monitor competitors’ marketing activities and media strategy with comprehensive analysis.

· Recommend price positioning vs competition.

Consumer Marketing

· Own the local marketing plan across all brands, ensure sufficient support to accelerate local sales.

· Develop, implement and supervise activities, including ATL, BTL, events, product placements, sponsorships, press work, digital marketing etc. in order to drive awareness and sales.

· Plan & develop the local digital communication plan to support our brands, product launches, sponsorships etc. Develop local content for digital marketing and social media, follow execution.

· Supervise and monitor press/influencer visibility to create marketing ideas and maximize exposure and opportunities.

· Plan & develop any written communication to customers, commercial partners and press.

· Track sales results closely and share key learnings/best-practices with team.

Trade Marketing

· Define and execute the local Trade Marketing Strategy for Modern Trade, Pharmacies and specialty stores.

· Propose and implement the local Trade Marketing Plan, customer specific marketing plans and the annual activation/promotional calendar. Ensure plans are in place to support our aggressive sales targets.

· Create local POSM, stands, communication material etc., and supervise production, deliveries and inventory in the UAE.

· Introduce KPIs and track sales results closely. Share key learnings/best-practices with team.

Assortment and Product Launches

· Define winning assortments and identify new product launches to drive sales. Collaborate with supply chain, commercial teams and regional counter parts to ensure flawless execution.

· Define launch plans and coordinate their implementation with all stakeholders (regional team, sales teams, senior management).

· Work with supply chain on long- and short-term forecasts, play an active role in the S&OP process.

· Monitor results of product launches closely and propose relevant actions.

Team Management

· Recruit, train and manage a high-performance marketing team of three Brand Managers.

· Introduce KPIs and constantly track performance of the team, intervene where necessary.

· Improve skills and capabilities of the broader team by continuous support, coaching and training.

Desired Candidate Profile

REQUIREMENTS:

· Entrepreneural mind-set, able to build a marketing function from scratch.

· Energetic self-starter, can-do and goal getter attitude.

· Masters degree in marketing or a related field.

· Proven work experience in marketing, particularly within the baby and personal care categories.

· In total 5 to 8 years of experience in marketing.

· Ability to build and lead a team.

· Arabic is a plus.
