Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Oversee enterprise data governance program development, and architect the solution and framework.
2. Establish and maintain periodically reviewing and recommending changes to data governance policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
3. Administrate the initiated programs including facilitating the data governance council meetings.
4. Facilitate data governance organization, tactical and operational stewards, and the data governance council involvement.
5. Develop data governance programs, awareness, and mentoring materials.
6. Provide quality assurance oversight, monitor, and report results to the governance council.
7. Assist in defining data quality metrics for periodic release, along with supporting data quality issue analysis and remediation for strategic data.
8. Update data dictionary and maintain Meta Data, use data querying and analysis tools.
9. Implement corrective actions to resolve data quality problems, and track data quality objectives and plans at the enterprise level.
10. Participate in identifying and proposing solutions to data quality issues.
Key Accountabilities
1. Advice on the division/department strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration.
2. Support the division s management by providing expert opinions and recommendations on specialized matters, and deliver leadership assistance on other projects as needed.
3. Advice on risk management and mitigation tactics within the division/department.
4. Recommend tools, frameworks, and methodology to ensure proper governance and monitoring of the division/department projects.
5. Advice on the development of future state process flows, and suggest divisional/departmental and workflow changes based on the market best practices.
6. Ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers to address their needs in a courteous and timely manner.
7. Promote to other employees within the organization the implementation and adherence to policies, procedures, processes, and instructions
Desired Candidate Profile
Education and Certifications
A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is required
A Master s degree in in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is preferred
Knowledge and Experience
6 + years of experience in data privacy and protection / data governance and trained for the use of the data.
Skills Required
Stakeholder Management
Data Privacy & Protection regulations
Knowledge of the business practices and technical processes
Able to translate business requirements in quality measurements
Able to assess the impact of technology changes on data
