Marine Procurement & Cost Engineer Villa Hakatha pvt ltd.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Marine Procurement & Cost Engineer to support engineering-driven purchasing, cost evaluation, and vendor management across our marine fleet. The role focuses on translating technical specifications into procurement requirements, optimizing costs, and ensuring quality compliance in coordination with the engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Translate engineering and technical specifications into accurate sourcing requirements for spare parts, equipment, and services.
• Conduct vendor benchmarking, comparing pricing, quality, lead times, and service standards.
• Lead warranty negotiations and ensure optimal coverage for critical components and equipment.
• Perform TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) evaluations to determine the most cost-effective procurement decisions.
• Coordinate closely with engineering teams to ensure QA/QC compliance for purchased items.
• Manage procurement documentation, RFQs, quotations, and purchase orders.
• Track procurement costs, identify savings opportunities, and prepare cost reports for management.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and expand the supplier network regionally and internationally.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in marine procurement, technical purchasing, or engineering-linked supply chain roles.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and convert them into sourcing criteria.
• Strong capability in vendor benchmarking, warranty negotiation, and cost evaluation.
• Knowledge of QA/QC coordination with engineering teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
