Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Designs and develops manufacturing and automation platforms for new and existing products

Creates and modifies CAD designs using Creo Parametric and PDM-Link; supports software updates and admin tasks

Develops, qualifies, and optimizes tooling, equipment, and processes to meet quality and production standards

Leads or contributes to projects, prepares concepts, cost estimates, and technical documentation

Ensures manufacturability of designs and supports smooth production ramp-up

Designs pneumatic systems and creates diagrams using SMC Pneudraw or E-Plan Fluid

Experience with automation components (conveyors, vibration feeders, etc.)

Conducts tests, analyzes results, and troubleshoots technical issues

Supports R&D with prototypes and sample manufacturing equipment

Coordinates with suppliers and external partners on machine design projects

Ensures compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

Documents processes in TE systems (SAP, TLM) and ensures standardization

Provides training when needed and collaborates with cross-functional teams

Drives lean product development and manufacturing technology improvements

Maintains strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desired Candidate Profile

Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

Min 2 years of experience in Process or Machine design

Proficient in 3D design tools (preferably Creo, Catia, SolidWorks)

Basic knowledge of CAD, CAE, and industrial/quality engineering tools

Familiar with LEAN, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methods (DoE, FMEA, A3, DMAIC)

Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Willing to travel when required

Creative and innovative mindset

Strong communication and technical writing skills; comfortable interacting with all management levels and external partners

The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location.

They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.
