Roles & Responsibilities

Overview:/p>

The Manager, Drilling & Logistics is responsible for coordinating and supporting the execution of exploration programs by integrating field logistics, surface and underground drilling operations, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of Mineral Resource Management activities, in alignment with Maaden s strategic goals, operational excellence standards, and regulatory requirements./p>

General Requirements:
Education Qualification Formal qualifications in geology, logistics, health, safety, or a mining-related discipline.
Years of Experience Over 12 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 8 years with a major mining company.
English Level Native speaker
Technical Qualification Practical experience in field logistics, large drilling operations, and contractor management across Greenfields, Brownfields, and Near Mine operational environments in diverse complex jurisdictions.
Others: Strong understanding of safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance./p>

Be an active safety leader.
Coordinate logistics and drilling operations to ensure seamless execution of exploration and resource programs.
Applies the right experience level of supervision to field logistics and drilling contractors, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Lead initiative to optimize resource utilization, logistics, cost control, and operational planning.
Monitor and report on drilling performance, contractor compliance, and logistics efficiency.
Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across exploration activities.
Liaise with procurement and supply chain teams to manage contracts, consumables, and ensure vendor performance meets expectations.
Assist in planning and scheduling exploration activities, including resource allocation and equipment readiness.
Supervise the use and maintenance of temporary and permanent structures and company property, core sheds, vehicles, etc.
Liaise with Facilities Management representatives at sites.
Support Management of Change processes, either as a stakeholder, or as the owner of facilities and ground that is primarily for the use of exploration activities.
Schedule 1 year view for provision of essential consumables to support execution of planned exploration programs
Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of drilling, logistics operations, vendor performance, contract status, and potential risks.
Collaborate in drilling and earthmoving Contract Review Meetings. Report observed safety and productivity trends, deliver commentary and lead the search for resolution. Guide Management on contract performance.
Establish KPI s and benchmarking systems to monitor and report on exploration performance across sites.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Participate in investigations for all serious recordable incidents to assess causal factors and prevent recurrence.
Support the integration of new technologies and best practices in field operations.
Participate in audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments to drive performance improvement.
Experience of working with a Tier 1 Mining Company; due to ability to bring with them the HSE and best practice culture./p>
