Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to elderly residents according to individualized care plans and physician orders
Monitor and record vital signs, blood glucose levels, intake/output, and general health status
Administer oral medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed
Perform wound care, catheter care, stoma care, and pressure ulcer prevention
Assist residents with mobility, feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, and positioning
Observe and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition of residents
Ensure infection control practices and proper hygiene are followed
Provide emergency care, first aid, and CPR when required
Maintain accurate nursing documentation, medication charts, and patient records
Report patient progress, incidents, and concerns to physicians and nursing supervisors
Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding care updates
Support and guide caregivers in proper patient handling and daily care activities
Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and ethical nursing practices
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Valid MOH Oman Nursing License or eligibility for licensure
Minimum 4 years of nursing experience (geriatric or hospital experience preferred) with no disciplinary actions.
Knowledge of elderly care, chronic diseases, dementia, and mobility management
Physically fit to handle patient lifting and male patient care
BLS/CPR certification preferred
