Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Constantly scan the assigned zone, proactively identifying potential hazards and ensuring patron safety through vigilant observation.
  • Swiftly respond to emergencies, providing immediate first aid, CPR, and other necessary life-saving interventions with precision and calm.
  • Enforce all pool rules and regulations with a firm but courteous demeanor, educating patrons on safe practices and preventing violations.
  • Conduct regular water quality tests, maintaining a clean and safe swimming environment by monitoring and adjusting chemical levels.
  • Perform routine maintenance of pool equipment and facilities, ensuring everything functions correctly and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Assist in the setup and takedown of pool area equipment, including chairs, umbrellas, and lane lines, ensuring a neat and organized space.
  • Communicate effectively with patrons, answering questions, providing assistance, and offering guidance on pool activities and safety.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions, staying updated on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and skill enhancements.
  • Complete detailed incident reports accurately and promptly, documenting all events and actions taken during emergencies or rule violations.
  • Maintain a professional and presentable appearance, adhering to uniform standards and representing the facility positively at all times.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundational level of education.
  • Possess current certifications in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid, showcasing immediate emergency response capabilities.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably at a pool or aquatic facility.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a lifeguard, demonstrating practical experience.
  • No nationality preference, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds.
  • Fluency in English is required for effective communication with patrons and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in swimming and water rescue techniques, demonstrating strong technical skills.
