Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Section Head to lead our maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of all hospital facilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in facility management, a commitment to safety, and excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the hospital's maintenance staff, including technicians and engineers.
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of all hospital buildings, systems, and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and biomedical devices.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the life of hospital assets.
- Respond to and troubleshoot maintenance issues and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with hospital policies, safety regulations, and relevant local, state, and federal codes.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
- Collaborate with other hospital departments to coordinate projects and address facility needs.
- Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and professional development.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- 5 10 years of maintenance experience in Healthcare or Hotels; with 2 4 years in a supervisory or section leadership role.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a maintenance or facility management department, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and codes (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA).
