Job Purpose

Responsible for leading the planning and development of the maintenance department s objectives to support overall operational efficiency and reliability.




Responsible for setting and executing preventive maintenance plans for machinery, utilities, and equipment in alignment with business goals.




Responsible for developing, reviewing, and continuously improving Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance practices.




Perform duties in accordance with Malia Group Policies and Procedures.


Duties And Responsibilities

On Installations & Preventive Maintenance


Develop and oversee the preventive maintenance plan to ensure equipment reliability and operational continuity, taking corrective actions when needed Review and validate new product layouts and equipment upgrades before project rollout; provide recommendations aligned with business goals Lead the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new machinery, as well as the upgrade or reconfiguration of existing equipment to meet evolving production needs Oversee internal maintenance and calibration schedules, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and operational excellence Optimize machine setup times and efficiency across manufacturing and packaging lines Review and approve procurement requests related to maintenance operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and technical adequacy Stay updated on new technologies and trends; share relevant improvements with stakeholders for potential implementation



On Utilities


Monitor BMS and EMS systems (HVAC, water, fire safety, generators, boilers, chillers); coordinate with contractors to resolve issues and drive improvements Strategically manage third-party maintenance contracts, including planning, follow-up, and validation of monthly service visits and documentation Define, execute, and continuously improve the preventive and corrective maintenance strategy for utilities to ensure operational safety, efficiency, and compliance



On Planning & Reporting


Lead the development of the annual maintenance budget and business plan in line with plant strategy Hold monthly performance reviews with Plant, QA, R&D, and Technical Managers to ensure cross-functional alignment Approve weekly technician maintenance plans in coordination with the production schedule to minimize downtime and optimize productivity Develop, validate, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions related to utilities and production equipment Deliver accurate and timely maintenance reports, analytics, and improvement proposals as requested by senior management



On External Audit


Support audit readiness by ensuring maintenance operations and documentation meet all regulatory and quality requirements



On HR


Contribute proactively with the Talent Acquisition Team in filling vacancies timely. Design/update related JD and on-boarding programs and ensure their proper understanding & implementation. Ensure an optimized structure in line with business priorities and performance Provide direct reports with needed resources/tools and guidance to fulfil their role properly and set their training needs and development plan in coordination with L&DM. Celebrate achievements, highlight people with potential to offer them perspective for growth Set direct reports annual Business Goals and required competencies and conduct quarterly feedback sessions to appraise their performance. Monitor continuously direct report productivity and take corrective actions in due time. Issue misconducts and enroll under-performers in related program Promote the Group's culture, encourage loyalty, trust, a healthy working environment and teamwork. Personalize the motivational approach, empower and inspire the team to reach greatness

Education And Experience

Education

BE in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering. MBA is a plus


Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in leading the maintenance department within an industry
