Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

To manage, plan, and oversee all maintenance, repair, and installation activities for commercial kitchen, laundry, and HVAC systems across client sites. The Maintenance Manager ensures operational reliability, cost efficiency, and high-quality technical service while maintaining client satisfaction and compliance with company standards and safety regulations.


Duties and Responsibilities


1. Maintenance Management

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance operations for all commercial kitchen, laundry, and HVAC systems.

• Plan and implement maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.

• Supervise troubleshooting, repair, and testing of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and gas systems.

• Verify work quality and adherence to manufacturer specifications.

• Ensure timely response to emergency breakdowns at client sites.

2. Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and motivate maintenance technicians to achieve performance targets.

• Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and conduct on-site inspections.

• Evaluate staff performance and identify training needs.

• Enforce adherence to technical procedures, safety rules, and quality standards.


3. Client Coordination

• Serve as the primary technical contact for client accounts.

• Understand client needs and provide professional maintenance recommendations.

• Ensure all service level agreements (SLAs) and preventive maintenance contracts are fulfilled.

• Provide clients with service reports, maintenance feedback, and technical support.


4. Inventory & Procurement

• Maintain records of tools, spare parts, and consumables.

• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure availability of required materials.

• Manage vendor relations and request quotations for specialized parts or outsourced work.

Control maintenance costs and ensure optimal resource utilization.

• Business Development and client relationship growth

• Profit Center responsibility and budget control

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, job cards, and equipment history records.

• Submit regular reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance expenses.

• Recommend system improvements, upgrades, or replacements where necessary.


6. Health, Safety, and Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies and local regulations.

• Promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.

• Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.

• Maintain compliance with hygiene, fire-safety, and environmental standards, especially in kitchen and HVAC environments.


Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration, or Mechatronics Engineering.


Experience:

•Minimum 8–10 years of technical experience in commercial kitchen, laundry, and HVAC systems maintenance.

• At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

• Experience in a service company environment or facility maintenance (hotels, restaurants, hospitals) preferred.


Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and gas systems, including HVAC units and controls.

• Skilled in interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

• Familiar with preventive maintenance management systems (CMMS).
