Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage interior fit-out projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budget, and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and vendors to coordinate all aspects of the fit-out process, including material selection and procurement.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and 3D models for fit-out projects, utilizing relevant software and tools.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure that the fit-out work meets the highest standards of quality and design integrity.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and control costs to ensure projects are completed within the allocated financial parameters.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, materials, and technologies in interior design and fit-out to enhance project outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the fit-out process.
  • Lead and mentor a team of fit-out specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure project success and team development.
  • Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders, showcasing design concepts and progress updates.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in interior fit-out projects, preferably in hospitality, commercial, or retail sectors.
  • Proven ability to oversee, coordinate, and execute interior design fit-out works from IFC to execution stage, ensuring all finishes, joinery, furniture, lighting, and related elements are delivered to the highest standards and within schedule.
  • Strong knowledge of interior finishes, joinery, furniture, and material specifications.
  • Familiarity with local authority regulations, approvals, and fit-out guidelines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and design standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Expertise in reviewing and interpreting design intent drawings, shop drawings, and material specifications to ensure accurate execution on site.
  • Experience supervising and monitoring fit-out activities including partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, finishes, and furniture installation.
  • Ability to coordinate with MEP teams to align interior works with services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
  • Strong track record in conducting site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and HSE standards.
  • Competence in preparing progress reports, snag lists, and handover documentation.
  • Experience liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for material selection, approvals, and timely delivery.
  • Active participation in project/site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve design and technical issues.

  • Possession of relevant certifications such as LEED AP or similar, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable design practices, is preferred.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous fit-out projects is required, demonstrating design expertise and project management capabilities.
