Roles & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
Region Management:
-Serve as the logistics focal point for assigned rigs, countries, or divisions, overseeing all their logistics movements.
-Validate transport requests for your assigned region or lane, ensuring accuracy of delivery dates to achieve on-time fulfillment.
International cost-effective Shipping:
- Utilize rate checker tools and strategic planning to secure competitive costs by leveraging preferred carrier contracts.
- Design effective shipment routes, optimize cargo consolidation, and maximize backload opportunities to minimize costs.
- Continuously monitor shipment execution, track movements, and manage any deviations with logistics partners, keeping internal stakeholders informed.
Scheduling & Procurement:
- Manage both weekly and bi-weekly fixed schedules alongside milk runs for efficient logistics flow.
- Issue purchase orders with cost approvals before each shipment.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Identify and propose logistics network improvement projects to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure all transports fully comply with international regulations.
- Monitor cargo performance and investigate deviations to implement corrective actions.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and service levels related to productivity, accuracy, and efficiency, and takes corrective actions as necessary.
- Generates performance reports and provides regular updates to management on the logistics hub s performance.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives/plans within the logistics hub, exploring new technologies, processes, and strategies to optimize logistics operations.
Carrier Management:
- Asses & Evaluate carrier performance based on on-time delivery and pickup metrics.
- Oversee international logistics movements, guaranteeing adherence to ADES policies, processes, and local regulations (finance, personnel, QHSE, etc.).
Documentation & Communication:
- Ensure proper electronic document storage in the designated system.
- Act as a liaison between Import/Export teams, facilitating seamless communication.
Performance & Reporting:
- Participate in performance analysis meetings.
- Report any deviations and follow up on action plans to continuously improve service quality.
Vendor Management:
- Obtain necessary freight cost approvals and shortlist offers from freight forwarders.
- Follow up with vendors and carriers to ensure on-time deliveries.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Logistics from any reputable university.
- Minimum 3-5 years as a Logistics Specialist or similar role preferably in Oil & Gas field.
