Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Identify and target potential customers, building a strong pipeline of leads in the logistics, freight, and shipping industry.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their logistics needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Conduct product/service presentations to prospective clients and manage negotiations to close contracts effectively.
- Market Research: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
- Quote Preparation & Pricing: Prepare cost estimates, negotiate pricing with clients, and ensure profitability while meeting customer expectations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations, customs clearance, and other internal departments to ensure the smooth execution of client orders.
- Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by management.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular sales performance reports, forecasts, and updates to management.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. Relevant certifications in logistics or sales are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics sales or freight forwarding. Experience in international shipping, air freight, ocean freight, or customs clearance is highly preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the logistics, supply chain, and freight forwarding industries, including shipping documentation, international trade regulations, and customs processes.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business relationships.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop solutions that meet client needs and business goals.
Customer-Oriented: Highly customer-focused, with a proactive attitude towards addressing client needs and concerns.
Tech-Savvy: Familiar with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and logistics management tools.
