Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Import & Export Coordination
    • Plan, organize, and track import and export shipments (air, sea, and land).
    • Prepare and verify shipping documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs clearance documents.
    • Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
  • Shipment Management
    • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and transport providers for timely shipment execution.
    • Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to stakeholders on delivery status.
    • Resolve issues such as delays, demurrage, damages, or discrepancies in coordination with vendors and carriers.
  • Cost & Vendor Management
    • Obtain and evaluate freight quotations, negotiate rates with forwarders, and optimize logistics costs.
    • Review freight invoices, ensure accuracy, and coordinate with finance for timely payments.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions and shipment documentation.
    • Ensure adherence to Incoterms, HS codes, and country-specific regulations.
    • Support audits by providing required shipment and customs documentation.
  • Internal Coordination
    • Work closely with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to align shipment schedules with business requirements.
    • Provide shipment timelines, delays, and cost visibility to management and internal stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in logistics coordination with import & export shipment handling.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, customs regulations, and documentation.
  • Hands-on experience in dealing with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP/WMS systems is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in GCC / Middle East markets is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with free zone and bonded warehouse procedures.
  • Knowledge of trade compliance requirements (e.g., HS Code classification, restricted party screening).
