Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage Logistics Blue-collar teams (RM helpers, FG helpers, Forklift Operators or/and Carpenters).
  • Plan resources, manage timing, and address absenteeism.
  • Establish work protocols, define operating procedures, and uphold standards.
  • Provide training to ensure team members are versatile and skilled, including forklift operation.
  • Ensure compliance with rules and regulations while fostering team motivation.

Material Management:

  • Oversee material receipt, checking for quantity and damages.
  • Record material (RM, FG & Consumables) movements in Navision and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Manage raw material storage and deliveries to production, as well as finished goods storage and reception from production.

Interface and Coordination:

  • Liaise with Production & Quality Departments to manage lead times and emergencies effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to address customer priorities and special requirements.
  • Manage stock of packaging, consumables, and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with Raw Material Planning Engineer and Purchasing Manager for material planning and procurement.

Logistics and Transportation:

  • Book transports and ensure timely shipment of finished goods to customers.
  • Coordinate with forwarders for transportation arrangements.
  • Handle returns from customers, including pick-up, recording in Navision, and proper storage.

Inventory Control:

  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of inventory data recorded in Navision.
  • Conduct cycle counting of inventory, plan, and oversee follow-up.
  • Organize inventory layout based on frequency of use and safety considerations.
  • Monitor and update stock files for various categories including MTS, KM Services, Cables, Carpentry consumables, and/or RM files.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of stock information to facilitate effective inventory management and decision-making processes.

Maintenance and Safety:

  • Ensure proper usage of equipment and facilities, conducting first-level maintenance as necessary.
  • Uphold safety standards in material handling, storage, and transportation activities.

Carpentry Management:

  • Inspect incoming second-hand drums and those undergoing repair for quality assurance.
  • Conduct on-site visits as necessary to ensure drum quality meets standards.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks of carpentry consumables and initiate purchase requests when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with Planning Engineers and Production teams to fulfil drum requirements efficiently.
