Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistic Officer with expertise in fleet management to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of logistics, ensuring optimized fleet operations, and maintaining compliance with local and international regulations. You will play a significant role in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service delivery. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with various departments. Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee the logistics operations to ensure timely deliveries.
- Manage and supervise fleet maintenance to ensure vehicle functionality.
- Coordinate with customers to provide efficient transport solutions.
- Monitor logistics performance metrics and develop improvement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records related to fleet and logistics activities.
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate contracts to minimize costs.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for process enhancements.
- Prepare logistics and fleet management reports for senior management.
- Develop and implement policies for efficient logistics operations.
- Oversee the scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of vehicles.
- Ensure that drivers are adequately trained and adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in logistics and fleet management roles.
- Strong understanding of logistics systems and fleet management software.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
