Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD shop drawings for light current and low voltage systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Interpret architectural and engineering plans to develop comprehensive shop drawings for ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems such as CCTV, fire alarm, access control, and public address.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, and consultants to gather requirements and resolve technical discrepancies.
- Update and revise shop drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders and site conditions.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings upon project completion.
- Collaborate with procurement and installation teams to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions and material specifications.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss drawing progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Support the engineering team in technical submittals and documentation processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 1-2 years of experience in preparing AutoCAD shop drawings for light current or low voltage systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting software.
- Strong understanding of ELV systems such as CCTV, fire alarm, access control, and public address.
- Ability to interpret and analyze architectural and MEP drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- Effective communication skills for coordination with engineers and site teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards for low voltage systems.
- Experience working in an office-based environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and project requirements.
