Roles & Responsibilities

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lifting Engineer to join our team. The Lifting Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy lifting equipment. This position requires a deep understanding of lifting operations and adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of lifting operations on construction sites, including planning, execution, and supervision.
  2. Conduct thorough risk assessments prior to lifting activities to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  3. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  4. Provide technical expertise and guidance to site personnel regarding proper equipment selection, and lifting procedures.
  5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop lifting plans that meet project requirements and safety standards.
  6. Inspect lifting equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning and compliance with maintenance schedules.
  7. Train and mentor site personnel on safe lifting practices, including proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
  8. Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, including equipment inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
  9. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in lifting equipment and techniques.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Certification as a Lifting Supervisor.
  • Rigging Certificate - Rigger Level 3 is an added advantage
  • LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of lifting equipment and safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field .
  • Previous experience with premium heavy equipment solutions, particularly cranes.

Candidates without formal certification but with extensive experience in lifting operations will also be considered.
