Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage and execute the process for the preparation, submission, and follow-up of all applications for building permits, and infrastructure approvals and licenses.
- Serve as the primary, hands-on liaison with relevant government bodies, and regulatory institutes to personally resolve issues and expedite approvals.
- Actively audit and supervise project plans and construction activities to ensure strict, on-site compliance with approved permits, building codes, and local regulations.
- Personally oversee the accuracy and maintenance of a meticulous record of all permits, approval timelines, and regulatory correspondence. Consolidate and prepare detailed status reports for the Senior Permits Manager.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and solve potential regulatory issues or application deficiencies in the field and at regulatory offices to prevent project delays.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Permit Timeliness: Achieve 100% on-time submission and acquisition of all critical construction permits according to the project schedule.
- Compliance Rate: Maintain a 100% compliance rate for all active projects with necessary permits and building codes.
- Issue Resolution Time: Resolve 90% of all regulatory queries or permit-related issues within 5 business days.
Document Accuracy: Ensure 100% accuracy in all permit application documentation and final records
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Law, or a related field.
- Previous Experience:8-12 years of highly operational experience in regulatory affairs, field permitting, or construction project management, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role overseeing daily execution.
- Special requirements:Deep, practical knowledge of local building codes, municipality processes, and direct government relations. Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage regulatory tasks in the field.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Law, or a related field.
