Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will serve as an integral part of the organization, providing expert legal advice and support to various business units. The Legal Counsel will play a key role in mitigating legal risks by ensuring the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive legal support and guidance to internal stakeholders on various legal matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements to protect the company's interests.
  • Maintain current knowledge of legal developments and inform the organization about potential impacts.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are legally compliant and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate potential legal risks in business operations.
  • Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, or settlements to resolve legal issues effectively.
  • Interpret complex legal documents and provide clear advice to senior management and executives.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure all practices adhere to legal standards and suggest improvements.
  • Supervise paralegals and junior legal staff in their daily tasks and development.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of corporate governance documentation as required.
  • Develop and deliver training on legal topics to enhance organizational compliance and awareness.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel to optimize outcomes and manage costs effectively.

Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in legal practice within a corporate environment.
  • Admission to the bar and in good standing with the relevant bar association.
  • Proven expertise in contract law, corporate law, and employment law.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to influence others and a track record of successfully managing change.
