Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Contract Legal Manager is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts related to hospitality operations, including vendor agreements, service contracts, franchise/licensing agreements, property leases, event and catering agreements, and staff contracts. The role ensures that all contracts are legally sound, compliant with regulations, and aligned with ERTH’s strategic and operational interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute contracts across a wide range of business transactions.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle from initiation to termination or renewal.
- Monitor compliance, performance, and obligations under contractual terms.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks in collaboration with the Legal and Compliance teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, documentation, and correspondence.
- Prepare, review, and manage contract amendments, extensions, and terminations.
- Resolve disputes and contractual issues by engaging with relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct periodic reviews to assess contract effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Finance to review contract financials (revenue, costs, profitability) and advise on financial implications.
- Proactively manage contract expirations and renewals to ensure business continuity.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across departments to align on terms and ensure effective contract execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
- Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM).
- Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role within a large organization.
- 5+ years in a similar role within a large organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in contract management tools/software.
- Sound understanding of legal and financial implications in contract management.
- Ability to act as a trusted legal consultant to the business.
