Job Description

A Lead QA/QC Engineer is a vital role within any engineering or manufacturing organization, ensuring that all products meet specified quality standards while managing a team of skilled professionals. This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement in the process of quality assurance and quality control. A successful Lead QA/QC Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols, as well as communicate these standards across departments. They will leverage their expertise to lead inspections, audits, and tests, translating technical requirements into practical guidelines and solutions. The position demands a blend of technical proficiency, leadership skills, and a robust understanding of industry standards, enabling our organization to consistently deliver high-quality products.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans and processes to meet industry standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of QA/QC engineers to ensure team effectiveness and performance.
  • Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve any quality-related issues.
  • Supervise the testing processes, ensuring high accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on quality metrics and improvement plans to senior management.
  • Revise procedures as necessary to incorporate new methods and practices into existing protocols.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality assurance best practices and tools.
  • Investigate customer quality complaints and work on strategic solutions to prevent repeat occurrences.
  • Oversee the implementation of corrective action plans to rectify any deviations in product quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest quality assurance trends and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure quality management systems are maintained and continuously improved for optimal performance.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance/control roles.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams of QA/QC professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills to identify and address quality assurance challenges effectively.
  • Proficient in quality management software and management principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and presentations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver quality results within set timeframes.
