Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HVAC design process from concept to construction documentation stages.
- Prepare load calculations, ventilation strategies, duct and piping layouts, equipment selection, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Review and validate mechanical system designs prepared by junior engineers and external consultants.
- Ensure compliance with local codes and international standards.
- Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and clients to integrate HVAC design seamlessly into the overall project.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, BOQs, and design reports.
- Supervise and mentor mechanical engineers .
- Attend client meetings, design workshops, and site visits as required.
- Participate in value engineering and design optimization efforts.
- Support the tendering and procurement processes by reviewing technical submissions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering .
- 7 10 years of experience in Mechanical design, preferably within a consultancy firm.
- Strong understanding of HVAC system types.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD softwares, and other HVAC design tools.
- Excellent knowledge of international codes and standards.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
