Location: Cairo, Egypt (Hybrid / Remote-Friendly)
Type: Full-time
Foozu is a fast-growing Egyptian startup redefining the way people engage with raffles and rewards. Our app mixes fun, entertainment, and community with a simple promise: Play, Win, and Belong. Users can watch, play, and interact to earn Foozus (our in-app currency) and enter raffles for exciting prizes.
We re building Foozu to be the go-to platform for entertainment, engagement, and gamified experiences in Egypt and beyond.
The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Lead Developer who will become the cornerstone of our technology team. This is not just a job it s a unique opportunity to build Foozu s tech foundations and grow with the company.
As our first technical hire, you will:
Take ownership of the development of our product built on React Native and Supabase.
Shape the technical strategy, make key architectural decisions, and ensure scalability as Foozu grows.
Work closely with the CPO (Product Lead) to align technical execution with high-level business goals.
Lead app deployment processes, including publishing and maintaining apps on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Be autonomous, proactive, and fast to react to new opportunities and challenges.
Lay the foundations for a future team: mentoring and eventually leading new engineers as Foozu expands.
What We re Looking ForExperience: 5+ years in software development, with strong expertise in React Native (mobile-first mindset) and backend/database familiarity (Supabase or similar).
App Deployment: Proven track record of publishing and maintaining apps on both Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: Excited to build from scratch, adapt quickly, and thrive in a startup environment.
Strategic Thinking: Understands not only how to build but also why able to connect technical choices with business impact.
Leadership: Comfortable being the first engineer, ready to scale yourself into a team leader as Foozu grows.
Autonomy & Ownership: Self-driven, decisive, and able to move fast without waiting for direction.
Problem-Solving Mindset: You love challenges, iterate quickly, and take pride in finding pragmatic solutions.
