Lead Accountant AAMRO FREIGHT & SHIPPING SERVICES LLC

We are seeking a finance professional with strong analytical and accounting skills who can lead the financial management of our logistics business. The role involves financial reporting, ratio analysis, compliance, and streamlining existing financial processes. Industry experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE tax regulations, and company policies.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books and preparation of financial statements.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to prevent discrepancies and ensure transparency.
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, and tax authorities.
• Review and finalize statutory filings across group entities.

Financial Analysis & Ratios

• Conduct ratio analysis (profitability, liquidity, efficiency, leverage, etc.) to highlight financial strengths and weaknesses.
• Prepare management reports with insights for decision-making.
• Perform profitability analysis by service line, customer, and region.
• Support pricing and cost optimization strategies.

Treasury & Cash Flow

• Monitor and manage cash flows across multiple locations and entities.
• Forecast cash requirements and ensure liquidity.
• Optimize working capital by managing credit terms with customers and suppliers.
• Negotiate favorable terms with banks and financial institutions.

Process Improvement & Systems

• Streamline finance and accounting processes for efficiency.
• Support ERP/financial system enhancements (SAP B1 or equivalent).
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
• Mentor and train junior team members on financial policies and practices.
