Roles & Responsibilities

Laundry Supervisor is responsible for the daily Laundry Operations to ensure that all guest laundry is picked up and delivered according to the set standards, all soiled linen and towels are processed and returned to the floors to ensure smooth operations and that all administrative duties are carried out in a timely manner.

Key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Oversee the implementation of laundry standards and procedures, recommend changes and train the team on an ongoing basis.
  • Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over.
  • Direct task allocations and change according to volume and peak periods.
  • Perform regular quality inspections and implement action plans accordingly.
  • Prioritise VIP and difficult guests.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping for guest and hotel requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage of chemicals and proper disposal of all toxic products.
