Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, ensuring all machines are functioning efficiently to meet daily production demands.
- Sort and classify laundry items according to fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements, minimizing damage and ensuring quality results.
- Load and unload washing machines and dryers, adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Monitor the washing and drying cycles, making adjustments as necessary to optimize processes and prevent over-drying or under-cleaning.
- Adhere to industry regulations and best practices for handling hazardous materials and chemicals used in laundry processes.
- Assist in the proper storage of clean laundry, folding and packaging items neatly for easy distribution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and accessible to enhance workflow.
- Inspect finished laundry for cleanliness and quality, re-washing items if they do not meet established standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding laundry needs, equipment issues, and inventory supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns related to laundry services in a friendly and professional manner.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a laundry or hospitality environment is highly valued, ideally 1-2 years of hands-on work.
- Certification in textile care or laundry operations is a plus, showcasing dedication to professional development.
- Candidates with experience in commercial laundry operations may have an advantage in understanding industry standards.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a significant asset in diverse work environments.
- Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure quality and prevent costly mistakes in laundry processing.
- Excellent time management skills are necessary to prioritize tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines.
