job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and DHA-qualified Laboratory Technician to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring accurate diagnostics, and maintaining compliance with UAE healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, swabs, etc.) following proper protocols
• Conduct hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology tests using approved methodologies
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including centrifuges, analyzers, and microscopes
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results to physicians and clinical staff
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols
• Calibrate instruments and participate in internal and external quality control programs
• Record and manage data using laboratory information systems (LIS)
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of lab supplies
• Support audits and inspections by regulatory bodies (e.g., DHA, MOH)
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions

Qualifications & Requirements

• DHA license or eligibility as Laboratory Technician
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Proficiency in using automated lab equipment and LIS software
• Strong understanding of UAE healthcare regulations and lab safety standards
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
