Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Proven experience in quantity surveying within the structural steel sector • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, workshop operations, and site installation activities • Proficiency in BOQ preparation, measurement, variations, cost control, and subcontractor management • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills • Based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate • Immediate availability is preferred
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 0-2 years of practical experience in quantity surveying or a related construction role, ideally with exposure to both residential and commercial projects.
- Professional certifications such as RICS or AIQS are preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and construction contracts, demonstrating a foundational understanding of the industry.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite for effective project management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing individual tasks and deadlines.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as required for site visits and inspections.
