Fragrance Development Manager

Job Purpose

As a Junior Fragrance Developer, you will have the responsibility of developing winning fragrances for the assigned categories and markets. You will work closely with Account Managers and Marketing team to develop olfactive strategies and drive sales. Proactively develop strategic fragrance collections for key customers based on their needs. Use your expertise to analyze benchmark products and market data to translate into development briefs.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Cross category fragrance development with a focus on Fine Fragrance
  • Promote library fragrances where applicable
  • Work with perfumers in developing winning fragrances
  • Understanding of olfactive strategies of main brands in market/category
  • Analyze client portfolio and perform gap analysis
  • Identify best performing fragrances for assigned category and promote to sales team
  • Work closely with other evaluators, perfumers and sales team
  • Support assigned markets by looking at trends, gaps and prospects
  • Market visits to conduct store checks.
  • Attending customer meetings and exhibitions to promote new fragrance developments

Skills And Attributes Required

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Fragrance Development role.
  • ISIPCA or equivalent certificate from a accredited fragrance institute.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (Spoken & Written English), Arabic/Urdu/French preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Olfactive knowledge & perfumery language.
  • Market knowledge of the assigned category.
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Business acumen.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • Project management.
  • Time management.
  • Problem solving.
  • Decision making.
  • Collaboration skills.
