Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Overview
We are looking for a Junior/Assistant Project Engineer to support automation and control system projects involving PLC, SCADA, RTU, and DCS technologies. The role includes engineering, software development, testing, and commissioning activities for water, wastewater, and industrial automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing project proposals, system architecture, IO lists, FDS/SDS, and HMI/SCADA submittals.
- Develop and test PLC/RTU/SCADA applications (Siemens, Schneider, Yokogawa).
- Conduct and support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with site technicians, drafting teams, and clients for smooth project execution.
- Provide technical support during and after project completion.
- Co-ordinate with finance department for project invoicing
- Ensure ISO procedure compliance with regards to all documentation and processes
Required Skills
- Experience in TIA Portal, WinCC / WinCC Flexible, S7-1200/1500, SCADAPack, and Yokogawa STARDOM.
- Knowledge of protocols: Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3, Profibus, Profinet.
- Familiarity with EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
- PLC programming knowledge (Ladder, FBD, STL, SFC/CFC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering.
- 1–3 years experience in automation or PLC/SCADA-based projects.
- UAE experience is a plus.
