The Role

As a Junior Accountant, you ll support the Finance Team in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, bank and general ledger reconciliations, and expense tracking. You ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. This role also involves contributing to the implementation of IFS and helping the team meet group-set deadlines.

This is a fixed term role for 6 month with possible extension upon review.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks and data entry
  • Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations
  • Handle bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Manage purchase invoice processing, PO Reconciliations, Stock checks
  • Process employee expense claims with accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and archive financial documents for audit and compliance purposes
  • Support the team in preparing reports and maintaining financial records
  • Work closely with senior accountants on various projects
  • Use accounting software and Excel to update records and generate reports
  • Assists in travel ticket bookings
  • Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the seniors Qualifications and Experience
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Knowledge of ERP System preferably Sage or Quick Books, not mandatory
  • Up to 2 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with Excel and basic accounting software
  • Good communication and time management skills
