Roles & Responsibilities
Job Title Supplier Contracts & Procurement Specialist – Food Sector Job Objective To manage all contract processes related to suppliers and the procurement of food products from both local and international suppliers, ensuring the company’s needs for food items are met with the highest quality and best prices, while adhering to regulatory requirements and internal company policies. Responsibilities & Duties Supplier & Contract Management: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best commercial terms and prices. Review supplier contracts, requirements, and compliance, and draft contracts ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations. Monitor supplier commitments and ensure the execution of contracts within agreed timelines. Procurement Operations: Plan and execute purchasing operations for all required food products. Assess inventory needs in coordination with warehouse and sales management. Issue purchase orders and follow up on supply processes until final receipt. Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on supplier performance, costs, and the quality of received materials. Analyze procurement data and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Quality & Compliance: Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards, food safety requirements, and health regulations. Follow up on conformity certificates and required documentation for each shipment or delivery. Relationships & Development: Build strong relationships with current suppliers and explore new suppliers to expand the supply base. Contribute to the development of the company’s long-term procurement strategies. Qualifications & Required Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 7 years in procurement and contract management, preferably in the food sector. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems such as Onyx or SAP. Advanced Excel skills and report preparation capabilities. Personal Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong time management and priority organization abilities. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
