The Senior Engineer (Engineering Executive) is a technical leader responsible for driving engineering excellence, delivering high-impact solutions, and guiding cross-functional teams. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic decision-making to support long-term engineering vision, product roadmap execution, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Architect, design, and review complex systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Serve as the technical authority for major projects, providing guidance on best practices and technology choices.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers in advanced engineering principles and design patterns.

Strategic Engineering Direction

• Partner with product, business, and leadership teams to define engineering strategy and technical roadmap.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and propose adoption where beneficial.

• Lead continuous improvement efforts across engineering processes, tooling, and quality standards.

Project & Delivery Management

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of critical technical initiatives.

• Manage project risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to ensure timely and successful outcomes.

• Ensure engineering teams follow robust development and operational practices (CI/CD, security, testing).

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation for engineering staff.

• Encourage knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration.

Operational Excellence

• Drive infrastructure reliability, system uptime, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.

• Establish and track engineering KPIs (velocity, quality metrics, SLA adherence).

• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• 7–12+ years of professional engineering experience, including leadership or staff-level roles.

• Expertise in one or more technical areas (e.g., software engineering, cloud computing, DevOps, embedded systems).

• Proven experience architecting and delivering complex systems at scale.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
