Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure Java-based microservices.
  • Lead architectural discussions and decisions for backend solutions.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to ensure CI/CD, automated testing, and observability are in place.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to best coding practices, architectural principles, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and complex technical challenges.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience, preferably with Java 11+.
  • Expert-level experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed system design.
  • Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, and asynchronous messaging (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based deployments.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with API Gateways, service discovery, and centralized configuration (e.g., Netflix OSS, Spring Cloud Config).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and performance optimization abilities.
