Job Description

The IT Support position is a crucial role within any organization, serving as the primary point of contact for resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth operation of computer systems and networks. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware problems, installing and configuring computer systems, and supporting users by providing timely and effective solutions to their IT-related queries. IT Support specialists are also responsible for managing and maintaining all IT-related equipment, ensuring that the organization's IT infrastructure is reliable and up-to-date. Strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff are essential in this role.


Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support to users and resolve IT-related issues promptly.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems on user devices.
  • Install and configure computer systems and applications to organizational standards.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software resources within the organization.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to provide comprehensive technical solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain systems performance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Educate users on basic IT practices and provide training as needed.
  • Ensure timely escalation of issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
  • Create and maintain support documentation for commonly faced issues.
  • Assist in managing user accounts and access permissions on IT systems.
  • Participate in regular system audits and backup verification processes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an IT support or related technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in troubleshooting.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical personnel.
  • Proficiency in Windows, MacOS, and popular office software packages.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a busy environment.
