We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our IT systems. You will handle technical queries, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex technical problems. Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications. This role requires patience, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to staff and end-users for IT-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues promptly.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications as required.
- Assist in setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords according to company policies.
- Monitor system performance and provide proactive solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Document technical issues and solutions comprehensively for future reference and training.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement new technologies and upgrades.
- Maintain an inventory of technical assets, including software licenses and hardware devices.
- Provide on-site and remote support for multiple locations as needed.
- Assist in developing and updating IT policies, procedures, and user guides.
- Ensure data integrity and security compliance in accordance with company standards.
- Participate in training sessions to improve IT knowledge and skills of staff members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an IT support role or relevant technical position is required.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and common software applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical issues.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are mandatory.
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, or Linux is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under minimal supervision.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is an asset.
