Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide technical support for all IT-related systems and infrastructure both at office and offshore.

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, hardware, software, and network devices on vessels and at corporate offices.

Manage centralized file and application services, including Servers, SAN/NAS, and workstation-level resources on vessels.

Configure, monitor, and maintain network architectures, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi systems, and network security protocols.

Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, routing/switching, firewalls, and Wi-Fi deployment

Administer and support VSAT/FBB satellite communication systems to ensure reliable offshore connectivity.

Manage servers, email systems, and cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365.

Possess strong knowledge of satellite communications (GEO/MEO/LEO) and VSAT/FBB technologies.

Administer IP telephony systems, such as Avaya or similar platforms.

Maintain and update hardware inventory and associated maintenance records.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.

Collaborate with onshore IT teams to ensure integration and standardization of systems.

Ensure all systems comply with internal IT policies and external regulatory requirements.

Participate in after-hours and emergency support on a rotational or as-needed basis.

Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, 24/7 marine environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to travel offshore and support marine operations as required.
