Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

FileMaker application development & support

  • Develop, customize, and maintain FileMaker applications.

  • Create and modify FileMaker layouts.

  • Troubleshoot FileMaker issues and deliver solutions aligned with operational needs through team collaboration.

  • Implement new features and enhancements based on departmental requirements.

  • Ensure system functionality, stability, and compliance with security standards.

System integration & data management

  • Integrate FileMaker with other platforms and third-party software as needed.

  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity within FileMaker databases.

  • Collaborate with departments to support data reporting and system improvements.

  • Design and optimize report layouts and calculations.

General IT support & infrastructure assistance

  • Provide technical support for IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Provide administrative support to streamline IT processes and facilitate team communication, including user onboarding and system setup.

  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and data protection standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in IT, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Claris/FileMaker, ITIL, CompTIA) considered an advantage
Knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server preferred
  • Experience with scripting, calculations, layout design, and relational data modelling in FileMaker preferred
  • Ability to integrate external APIs and third-party platforms (e.g., REST, JSON, ODBC)
  • Strong understanding of data structures and accuracy principles
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and user account administration (macOS/Windows, networking)
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); applicants with German language skills will be preferred

Ideally, we are looking for an experienced FileMaker specialist who can develop and maintain this system while also contributing to the digital infrastructure behind TMO. However, if you have strong programming skills and are eager to learn FileMaker our core platform we would still love to hear from you. A willingness to grow into the role is just as important as prior experience.
