Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects in the banking sector, with a strong focus on credit/debit card systems and migration projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee RFP development, vendor evaluation, and selection, ensuring compliance with project and business requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (business units, IT teams) and external vendors/service providers for smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring adherence to standards, specifications, and PMO guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver project progress reports, dashboards, and closure documents as per PMO processes.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and organizational procedures.
  • Train and guide project team members, including third-party consultants, on project management tools and best practices.
  • Act as the focal point of contact between IT, vendors, and business units for IT PMO-related activities.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the PMO and organizational goals.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education & Certifications
    Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
    PMP or Prince2 certification is mandatory.

  • Experience
    5–8 years of proven experience in IT project management.
    Strong track record in card systems projects and migrations within the banking sector.
    Prior experience in Qatar/GCC banking industry preferred.

  • Skills & Competencies
    Strong knowledge of banking IT systems, card management, and digital payment platforms.
    Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
    Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Clarity, etc.).
    Strong vendor management, RFP evaluation, and negotiation skills.
    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in a multicultural environment.
    Ability to deliver under pressure while maintaining high quality standards.
