IT Junior Technician

Job Summary:
The University of Balamand Dekwaneh Campus is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Technician to support its growing technology needs. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals early in their IT careers who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic academic environment. The Junior IT Technician will assist with routine technical support tasks, hardware and software installations, and day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, willing to learn, and able to work collaboratively with the IT team and university staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Provide first-level support for hardware, software, network, and printer issues.
• - Set up and configure desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• - Assist in software installations and updates.
• - Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems.
• - Respond to helpdesk tickets and escalate unresolved issues.
• - Maintain inventory of IT equipment and track asset movements.
• - Assist in maintaining documentation and user manuals.
• - Support users in person, remotely, or via phone.

Requirements:

• - Diploma or Bachelor s in Information Technology or related field.
• - 0 2 years of IT support experience.
• - Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and computer hardware.
• - Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN, Wi-Fi, IP).
• - Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
