Roles & Responsibilities

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

The Inspectors will report directly to the Systems Lead and is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects regarding the related portions of work of the project, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Inspection and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of ICT systems, including network infrastructure, telecommunications, security systems, and audiovisual systems, to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Coordinate and participate in the testing and commissioning activities of ICT systems, including conducting functional tests, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring proper system integration.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports, test results, and commissioning documentation, accurately documenting findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken. Ensure all documentation is complete, organized, and in compliance with project procedures.
  • Monitoring all aspects of the project to ensure compliance with approved and proper standards
    Inspection of works relative to their portion of the project.
  • Review and monitor variations to the work to mitigate time and cost impacts for any required changes
  • Maintain registers of all submittals and testing, both on site and off site.
  • Maintain full site records, including daily site diaries in an approved format, and formal monthly progress photography.
  • Provide reports on the progress and quality of the works.
  • Liaising with other Inspectors to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any IT components or systems
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Adhere to HSE policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment and taking proactive measures to mitigate potential risks and hazards associated with ICT installation and operation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ICT inspection, testing, and commissioning, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.
  • Solid understanding of ICT systems and technologies, including network infrastructure, telecommunications, security systems, and audiovisual systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing ICT installations in airport facilities (e.g., ICAO, ACI, IEEE, ISO)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.
  • Professional certifications related to ICT systems (e.g., CCNA, RCDD, PMP) would be an advantage.
  • Experience with airport infrastructure projects or similar large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Good report writing and reporting skills is a must.
