Roles & Responsibilities
This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a talented and qualified Islamic Studies Teacher (to be taught in Arabic) to join our school.
The role is due to start from in August 2026.
United School International is a newly founded school on the prestigious Pearl Development in Doha, Qatar, a residential development reclaimed from the Arabian Gulf.
The school has a number of state-of-the-art facilities to support exceptional teaching including the latest touch screen technology, technology labs, art facilities and easy access to carefully landscaped indoor and outdoor play areas. Additional facilities at the school include a 450 seater auditorium/theatre, STEAM & robotics room, swimming pool, training pool, badminton, volleyball, tennis, basketball courts and a full size football pitch.
The school prides itself on professional development and mentoring new staff to become leaders in their field of expertise or curriculum interest. The role will provide opportunity for curriculum / department management responsibilities for the right candidate.
As a British International School specialising in providing the English National Curriculum to a diverse international student population, strong English language is an essential requirement and applications from native-level speakers of English will be preferred.
Desired Candidate Profile
You must have recent experience working as an Islamic Studies Teacher in a UK curriculum school. The ideal candidate should be fluent both in Arabic and English Languages.
Candidates must be available from August 2026 to commence employment.
Applicants should be committed and outstanding teaching practitioners, able to lead in the classroom by example. The candidate must:
- Have a relevant Bachelor degree from a reputable university and qualified Teacher status, either PGCE or B.Ed.
- Have previous teaching experience in a UK curriculum school teaching IGCSE Arabic.
- Have a passion for education, able to communicate clearly with good collaborative team working skills.
