Inventory Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain accurate stock records, including stock levels, receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
• Conduct regular stock reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and recorded quantities.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure accurate stock valuation and cost allocation.
• Implement and maintain robust stock control procedures and systems to optimize inventory accuracy and reduce stock losses.
• Coordinate and perform regular stock counts and cycle audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
• Analyze stock movements and usage patterns to support forecasting, budgeting, and inventory planning processes.
• Generate regular stock reports and provide insights into stock performance, variances, and trends for management.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting related to stock inventory.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide input on stock-related matters and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to stock control and inventory management.
