News and information are available at www.atkinsrealis.com or follow us on LinkedIn.Learn more about our rail presence in the Middle EastAtkinsR alis is seeking an experienced Interface and Integration Manager to lead the coordination, resolution, and governance of all internal and external interfaces across the UAE High-Speed Rail (HSR) Intercity Project Phase 1.Reporting To The Deputy Project Director, The Interface And Integration Manager Will Manage Interface Matrices, Registers, And Coordination Workflows Across The Following Key PackagesD&B Contractor Civil Works and Stations for Abu Dhabi D&B Contractor Civil Works and Stations for Dubai D&B Contractor Rail Systems, Power, Depots, Rolling Stock, and Track The role requires close collaboration with the Planning department, Construction teams, and Technical Delivery leads in both geographies to ensure timely resolution of interfaces and enable operational readiness of the system.ResponsibilitiesSector Experience Minimum 15 years of experience in interface and integration management for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably high-speed rail (HSR). Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination across civil, systems, MEP, architectural, and operational packages. Familiarity with UAE infrastructure delivery frameworks and UAE Rail standards. Interface Strategy & Governance Develop and maintain the Interface and Integration Management Plan in accordance with the Contract. Implement interface protocols, workflows, and escalation procedures across all packages. Ensure interface activities are aligned with programme milestones, risk registers, and design deliverables. Interface Identification & Coordination Manage and update the Interface Responsibility Matrix (IRM), Interface Scope Matrix, and Interface Register. Identify, track, and resolve strategic interfaces requiring coordination in between major contract packages, technical interfaces between adjacent packages, governance of the internal interfaces in a package and detailed interfaces at component or system level. Also works with Stakeholder Manager to resolve external interfaces. Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely submission and approval of interface-related design inputs, installation provisions, and testing protocols. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the Planning Manager to ensure interface dependencies are reflected in the master schedule and resolved in a timely manner. Collaborate with Construction Managers and Technical Delivery teams in Abu Dhabi and Dubai to ensure physical and systems integration is achieved on-site. Support commissioning and handover readiness by ensuring all interface-related provisions are complete and verified. Technical Oversight Ensure compatibility of systems and structures at interface points, including: Cable containment.Earthing & Bonding (E&B).Overhead Catenary System (OCS).Drainage, fencing, access roads.MEP systems and cybersecurity.Signaling, CCTV, PAVA, AFC, and ICMS integration.Review interface drawings, specifications, and simulation models for compliance and constructability.Interface Risk & Change Management Identify interface-related risks and contribute to mitigation planning. Support the Risk Manager in integrating interface risks into the Risk Register and QSRA reports. Track changes to interface responsibilities and ensure contractual compliance. Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with UAE Rail, PMC, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to ensure alignment on interface requirements. Facilitate interface coordination meetings and workshops across disciplines. Maintain strong working relationships and ensure timely resolution of interface issues. Reporting & Documentation Maintain traceable and version-controlled Interface Register and Matrix. Provide inputs to Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports, including interface status, risks, and dependencies. Support executive-level reporting and presentations related to interface coordination. QualificationsBachelor s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (Master s preferred). Minimum 15 years of experience in interface and integration management, with at least 5 years in rail or major infrastructure programmes.
