Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Install and maintain thermal insulation for piping, equipment, and structures to ensure energy efficiency and safety in various industrial settings.
• Select appropriate insulation materials based on thermal properties and environmental conditions to optimize performance and durability.
• Conduct detailed measurements and assessments of surfaces to determine insulation requirements, ensuring precise fitting and minimal energy loss.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project specifications and timelines, ensuring timely completion of insulation tasks.
• Apply insulation materials using various techniques, including covering, wrapping, and sealing, while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
• Inspect existing insulation systems for wear and damage, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements to maintain system integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used, labor hours, and project progress to facilitate reporting and project management.
• Train and supervise junior insulators and apprentices, sharing best practices and safety measures to foster a skilled and knowledgeable team.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental policies during all phases of insulation work.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in insulation technologies to continuously improve methods and materials used.
