Instrumentation Engineer Grade 1

Review drainage pumping station and treatment facilities Designs including associated infrastructure with other disciplines to ensure the timely realization of competitive, achievable, and serviceable solutions.

• Generate PI&Ds, Cable routing, I/O Schedules and Instrument Hook up drawings
• Prepare SCADA functional Design Specifications and Control philosophy.
• Participate in the meetings and workshops including HAZOP and CHAZOP
• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to make adaptations and modifications to solve technical problems that arise.
• Contribute to and participate in formal and informal design reviews and the development of engineering changes
• Liaise with utilities providers and other stakeholders.
• Performance of actual design duties when directed.
• Provide regular status reporting to applicable management and departments to enable them to take required actions
• Assist in external & internal coordination regarding Instrumentation design in infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of managing major projects in the Drainage industry, with Design Engineering & Construction Management functions in particular PMC experience of leading a team desirable.

BSc/BEng or equivalent degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.

• 10 years of demonstrable experience in design & construction of infrastructure Projects with satisfactory exposure to all related disciplines.
• Working knowledge of written and/or spoken Arabic would be advantageous.
• Shall have a basic understanding of the modelling process and common data environment workflows in accordance with international BIM Standards like ISO 19650
• Shall have a basic understanding of the key software disciplines required for BIM Uses e.g. Design Review and Design Coordination
