Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and produce instrumentation design deliverables for offshore platforms including layouts, cable routing, hook-up drawings, junction box layouts, loop diagrams, and instrument location plans.
  • Support engineering teams during FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design phases of offshore EPCI projects.
  • Generate and update 3D models using S3D (Smart 3D), including instrument placement, cable trays, supports, and interfaces with other disciplines.
  • Interpret and incorporate engineering data, vendor information, and P&IDs into accurate design drawings.
  • Coordinate with instrumentation engineers, electrical designers, and piping/layout teams to ensure integrated, clash-free designs.
  • Prepare bill of materials (BOM), MTOs, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure all design work complies with Saudi Aramco standards, industry codes, and project specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews and resolve design-related issues during model reviews, QA/QC checks, and inter-discipline coordination.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Technical Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 8-15 years of experience in instrumentation design for offshore oil & gas projects.
  • Proven experience working on Saudi Aramco offshore projects is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Smart 3D (S3D) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation layouts, cable management systems, and field installation practices for offshore environments.
  • Familiar with international and regional codes and standards (e.g., IEC, ISA, Aramco standards).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
