Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The university s Foundation Program equips students with a standard minimum level of IT before they begin their degree programs.

Successful Candidates Will Be Offered

  • Renewable contract, to commence in September
  • Competitive salary

  • Round-trip flights to the candidate s country of origin for the candidate, his/her spouse,
    and up to two children
  • Gratuity of one month s base salary for every year of service, to be paid at the end of service

Desired Candidate Profile

Omani Candidates

  • A full-time M.Ed. in education technology with a minimum GPA of 3.0; and
  • At least two years teaching experience at the post-basic level after having completed their MA

OR

  • A full-time MA in computer science or information systems, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and a BA in the same; and
  • At least three years teaching experience at the post-basic level after having completed their MA

Omani candidates with no experience will be eligible for the position of Instructor if they meet all other qualifications.

Non-Omani Candidates

  • A full-time M.Ed. in education technology with a minimum GPA of 3.2

OR

  • A full-time MA and BA in computer science or information systems, with a minimum GPA of 3.2; and
  • At least three years teaching experience at the post-secondary level after having completed their MA

All candidates Omani and non-Omani must have good command of the English language (minimum IELTS Band 6.0 or its TOEFL equivalent).

Candidates without these qualifications will not be considered.
